    On the afternoon of July 28, Ohio State students and instructors will start to see the redesigned CarmenCanvas landing page. The updated site was created to provide a better user experience with a modern design and improved accessibility.

  • Mediasite: Updated Retention Policy

    Learning Systems | June 2, 2026
    In an effort to manage storage costs and more easily identify media content that must be made accessible per federal Title II regulations, OTDI will soon be enforcing an updated retention policy in Mediasite. Once implemented, content that has not been viewed in five years will be archived for one year before being permanently deleted.

  • Simple Syllabus Now Available

    Learning Systems | April 23, 2026
    Simple Syllabus, Ohio State’s new centralized platform for creating and publishing course syllabi, became available to faculty on April 23. The platform allows instructors to create syllabi using a university-wide‑ template and enables the university to meet the requirements of Senate Bill 1 (SB 1).
