Instructor, student and staff voices are essential to driving the strategic direction of technology use at Ohio State. Our advisory groups provide input and guidance to ensure that the technology being implemented across the university enhances teaching and learning, enables research and delivers data for effective decision-making.
Classroom Readiness Committee
The Classroom Readiness Committee is charged with stewardship of all general use classrooms on the Columbus campus, with a focus to maintain environments that connect technology and space design to evidence-based teaching practices.
IT Partnership Council
The IT Partnership Council is comprised of senior leaders from distributed IT departments across the university who meet to discuss technology developments and solve problems within and outside of the university.
OTDI Advisory Committee
The OTDI Advisory Council's mission is to guide the strategic alignment and investment of information technology resources and initiatives across the institution, ensuring that IT supports and enhances the academic, research, administrative, and student success goals of the university. It's objectives include:
- Align IT initiatives with the university’s strategic goals.
- Facilitate collaboration on technology-related initiatives.
- Promote transparency in IT planning and decision-making.
- Evaluate and recommend IT project proposals and investments.
Security and Trust Advisory Board
The Security and Trust Advisory Board works to ensure effective oversight of university information and technology risk management and compliance practices.
Workday Support and Governance Advisory Group
The Workday Support and Governance Advisory Group membership includes leadership from the HR, Business and Finance, Purchasing and Supply Chain, ERIK, and OTDI areas. This group convenes to review and discuss changes and updates with the Workday system and what change management strategies will be needed help the university adopt them successfully.
