Service Retirement Milestone: eReports and BuckIQ

Last week, the Data and Analytics team within the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) officially retired the eReports and BuckIQ reporting systems, along with the legacy data warehouses that were used to source supporting data. This effort encompasses the service retirements of the Financial Data Warehouse, Employee Analytics, GL Analytics, and Enterprise Data Warehouse (HR, Finance, and Student).

We would be remiss to not acknowledge this HUGE milestone (tremendously huge!) without acknowledging all the dedicated work put forth by multiple supporting teams over the years in providing these data and reporting services to the university. For over ten years, these service and systems supported the backbone of reporting for most of Ohio State, delivering both operational and analytical data capabilities.

As time marched on, our team along with technology and reporting partners across Ohio State, played a key role in ensuring that data needed to support the university was available, timely, and secure. Data is the lifeblood of any modern organization, and our mission of ensuring that it flows seamlessly continues.

With the delivery of Workday Reporting and the Reporting and Analytics Environment (RAE), from the Enterprise Project, we fundamentally changed the way report users and data analysts access and utilize data at Ohio State. With newly established goals and plans for data from President Johnson and Provost Gilliam, we have truly exciting opportunities to extend our winning streak in the future. I’m proud to say that we accomplished this work together and I’m looking forward to seeing what we accomplish next!

The list of people who have made this program’s success possible is too long to share in one post. Please know that your efforts are appreciated more than you will ever know.

Thank you!
