
Neha Khanna
Meet Neha Khanna, a Senior Business Analyst on the Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) team and a passionate problem-solver who thrives in OTDI’s collaborative and supportive culture. Originally from Kanpur, India, Neha’s impressive academic journey took her from earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s in India to completing an MBA at the University of North Dakota. When she’s not tackling projects at Ohio State, you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, exploring Ohio’s beautiful Metro Parks, or dreaming of her ultimate travel goal—visiting all the Wonders of the World!
Q: What is your role at the university? I work as the Senior Business Analyst in the Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) team.
Q: How long have you worked at Ohio State? I have been at The Ohio State University for 3.5 years now.
Q: Have you worked on any large projects since you’ve been here? I joined the team in the summer of 2021 after the Workday project implementation. Some of the large projects that I have been involved in are Workday Today (redesigned Workday Home page), Workday Security Improvements project and the Payroll Accounting Adjustments Design Review project.
Q: What do you like best about your job? I get to collaborate with highly talented people in the Ohio State community. The EBS team is exceedingly knowledgeable, supportive and welcoming. There is always an opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
Q: Did you always know this is what you wanted to do as a career? Growing up I wanted to be a doctor. But as you can see it did not turn out that way!
Q: What was your very first job? My very first job was as a Probationary Officer at State Bank of India in India.
Q: Where did you go to college? I completed my Bachelor's and Master's in India, worked for a few months in the bank, and then came to the US for an MBA. My degree is from the University of North Dakota (UND).
Q: Where are you from originally? I am originally from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Kanpur is a large industrial city located in the northern part of India.
Q: What is your favorite place to visit? Walt Disney World and Yellowstone National Park.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I hope that someday I can travel and see all the Wonders of the World. I believe traveling to these iconic places will allow me to learn more about different cultures and their histories.
Q: Can you tell us about your family? We are a family of four–my husband Sumit and two daughters, Shanoya and Anaisha.
Q: What do you do for fun outside of work? Do you have any hobbies? When the weather is nice, I like to go for walks and explore the Metro parks. However, with the busy schedule of my family, there is not much time left for an actual hobby.
Q: Favorite place to eat in Columbus? Clove Indian Bistro, Kitchen Social.
Q: Best concert you’ve ever been to? I have never been to a concert! My girls are big Taylor Swift enthusiasts. So, hoping to go to a Taylor Swift concert one day with my family and experience the music and energy.
Q: Do you have a favorite book or movie? I enjoy watching comedy movies.
Q: It’s 9 p.m. on a Saturday. What are you doing? Either hanging out with friends and family or at home watching a movie or show.
