Founded in 1996 by the American Payroll Association (now payroll.org), National Payroll Week aligns with Labor Day and honors the essential work of payroll professionals across the country.

Payroll professionals help connect employees, employers (in our case, the university), and government programs like Social Security, Medicare, and child support. Through payroll withholding, they help generate 70% of the annual revenue for the U.S. Treasury—a truly impressive contribution!
