January 2026 Update: Workday Strategic Sourcing Supplier Relationship Management will be implemented Thursday, January 29. This modern, secure portal will soon become the new, unified “front door” for all OSU and Health System suppliers. This is an update to the original post shared in December.
This improvement will streamline our supplier relationships, reduce internal administrative workload, and improve the efficiency of our partnerships. Suppliers will be able to access the portal starting later this month. Over the last few weeks, the supplier administration teams have been sharing information with select suppliers to help them prepare and allow time to create their Workday accounts.
What is Changing?
Current Process Overview: Prospective suppliers complete online forms, but their information must then be manually entered by supplier administrators. Updates to supplier details are also managed manually. Suppliers who access Workday do so through accounts and security roles managed by internal OSU teams. This setup requires staff to perform manual account creation, password management, and ongoing troubleshooting.
Future State Overview: Suppliers will log in through a Workday Central Login using accounts they create and manage themselves. This centralized hub will enable them to send onboarding forms, update supplier contacts information, and access core Workday to manage purchase orders and invoices.
Note: Core Workday functionality and supplier workflows are not changing as part of this project. Please be aware that there will also be updates to Workday job aids that currently reside in the Administrative Resource Center (ARC).
