The Ohio State University’s Identity and Access Management (IDM) team has received national recognition for their expertise and collaborative spirit in supporting the use of ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) across higher education institutions. The team was highlighted in the December 2025 ORCID US Community Newsletter for their contributions to the ORCID Auth integration process.
ORCID is a nonprofit, community-driven initiative that creates a world where researchers are uniquely identified and connected to their contributions across disciplines, borders, and time. Through ORCID, the scholarly community can ensure trustworthy connections between researchers, their work, and their institutional affiliations.
Ohio State’s IDM team – Bob Joseph, Dee Lohmeyer, Greg Niemeyer, and Brian Zieber – received a special shout-out for their expertise and willingness to share insights into their identity management and ORCID OAuth processes. Their guidance has helped other universities explore different ways to implement ORCID, including Single Sign-On (SSO) integration. The recognition underscores Ohio State’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and support for the broader research community.
Ohio State celebrates Dee, Bob, Greg, and Brian for going above and beyond to support colleagues across the higher education landscape, exemplifying the Buckeye spirit of collaboration and excellence.
