Workday Period Activity Pay Security Enhancements
As part of HR Optimization efforts, on Friday, July 15, enhancements were applied for Period Activity Pay (PAP) to assist with streamlining the business process for both Cost Center Managers and HR Consultants. The following enhancements were implemented:
- Expanded security to allow Cost Center Managers (CCM) ability to edit the Worktags on PAP. This will eliminate the need for Cost Center Managers to return the PAP to the initiator to make updates to Worktags.
- It is critical to note that this enhancement also allows CCMs to edit other fields on the PAP such as the activity dates, payment dates and amounts. It is highly recommended that CCM do not make changes to these fields as it can negatively impact pay and/or fee authorizations for graduate students. Please return any Period Activity Pay to the initiator for any required edits to non-worktag fields.
- When there are two or more cost centers on the worktags, the PAP will workflow to all Cost Center Managers. Once the PAP is approved by any CCM, it will be removed from the workflow queue.
- Expanded security to allow HR consultants the ability to initiate PAP for employees outside of their current supervisory organizations, streamlining their work.
