A new feature has been added to Gradebook Settings in CarmenCanvas that will make it easier to identify which submissions are late, missing, excused, etc.
When enabled, a symbol will display in gradebook columns where assignments have due dates to provide a visual indicator along with the color indicator. The icons also have a tooltip that becomes visible when hovered over.
To enable, go to Gradebook Settings (the gear icon in the upper left of the gradebook page), choose Visibility Options and then check the box for View Status for Colorblindness.
This feature is an excellent example of one that is designed specifically to improve accessibility but that creates a better experience for all users.
