OTDI Seeks Feedback on Mediasite

This spring, the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) will be reaching out to collect feedback on Mediasite, which has been undergoing a service improvement plan. If you have used Mediasite recently, you may receive that survey.

Recent upgrades to Mediasite have included:

  • the ability to transfer grades from Mediasite Quizzes directly to the Gradebook in Canvas
  • browser-Based Recording, which lets users record audio, video and screen content conveniently from a web browser, with no need for hardware or special software
  • an improved Canvas experience, including the ability to upload and embed videos, work with captions, and create and manage custom channels directly in Canvas courses, rather than having to navigate to MyMediasite
  • the addition of Mediasite Assignment, which allows students to record and upload videos to any assignment with a File Upload submission type. Students can create and upload work right from their browser, and submissions show up in SpeedGrader for instructors to review.

OTDI's Learning Systems team routinely solicits feedback from those who use our tools to help us improve our offerings. Whether you receive a survey or not, you can always share your thoughts on teaching and learning tools by emailing the Learning Systems Innovation team.
