  • CarmenCanvas: Bulk Edit Functionality now Available in Manage Participants

    The option to bulk edit the roles and sections of users in Manage Participants is now available. 

    Users can find this option within their course rosters in Aegis's Manage Participants section. 

  • New CarmenCanvas Landing Page Coming Soon

    Carmen.osu.edu will soon have a new look and feel! Beginning on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 you can opt to use the new interface when you visit carmen.osu.edu to log in and view your courses. The updated site will become the default during the summer. 

  • Simple Syllabus Testing Begins in March

    Simple Syllabus is currently in the configuration and technical testing phase. Starting March 4, a small group of instructors began testing features in active spring courses, allowing for real-time student and faculty feedback.

    Following an evaluation during summer 2025, the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) awarded the bid to Anthology for an accessibility scanning tool to be integrated with within the CarmenCanvas learning management system (LMS) and other Canvas instances. 

  • LMS Scanning Tool RFP Now Open

    The Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) is leading a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an accessibility scanning tool to be integrated within the CarmenCanvas learning management system (LMS) and other Canvas instances. This application will enhance digital accessibility initiatives to improve accessibility to course content led by the ADA Digital Accessibility Center and OTDI's Digital Accessibility Services.
  • Mediasite Undergoes Service Improvement Project

    In response to feedback, the Learning Systems team in OTDI launched a service improvement plan to strategically enhance Mediasite. Updates included automated captioning, browser-based recording, and an improved experience within Canvas.
