Beginning this spring, students, staff and faculty may notice a change in their displayed pronouns in CarmenCanvas and CarmenZoom. These two tools will begin pulling pronoun information from my.osu.edu, the Ohio State app, Buckeye Link (for students), and Workday (for faculty and staff). Any pronouns that had been designated natively in Carmen and Zoom will remain if you have not selected pronouns in a major university system.

This change is part of a larger effort across Ohio State to improve data synchronization across university systems and provide more consistency for students, faculty and staff.

To update your pronouns and other personal information, log in at my.osu.edu and select My OSU Identity Information from the sidebar menu. University employees can also make these changes in Workday, while students can make changes in Buckeye Link. In addition, updates to preferred name and pronouns can be made in the Ohio State app. A change made in one of these locations will sync across a growing number of university systems.
