In the news: Ohio State, Google announce access to AI tools for students, faculty, staff

Ohio State News announced the university's new agreement with Google Public Sector to provide secure access to a suite of AI tools for students, faculty and staff. The tools include Gemini, NotebookLM, a few Google Workspace applications and Google CoLaboratory, offering new opportunities to support teaching, learning and research across the university.

The announcement was made at Ohio State’s Data & AI Day on Thursday, Aug. 21, where university leaders and Google representatives highlighted how these technologies will advance the institution’s AI Fluency initiative. By expanding access to AI, Ohio State aims to ensure that every Buckeye graduates with the skills to confidently apply artificial intelligence in their academic and professional careers.
