New Workday Training Tenant Available to All Users
A new Workday tenant is now available to all Ohio State Workday users for training and practice. Access in the training tenant will mirror access in production. All Ohio State Workday users have access to this training tenant; you do not need special security roles in order to use the training tenant. The tenant will be refreshed, or updated, from production every weekend, at minimum. The refresh timing is important because new employees and changes to existing employees, including access changes, will not be available in the tenant until it is refreshed.
Reporting 2.0 Simplifies Common BuckeyeLearn Reports for Managers
New Reporting 2.0 functionality in BuckeyeLearn allows managers to quickly view completed training information for their direct and indirect employees, covering many common training titles. Available reports include: Report = Support! [FY23], Institutional Data Policy 2022, and Digital Accessibility Policy 2022. Read the full post to learn more.
Graduate Tuition Assistance Expenses to Post Oct. 18
Expenses related to the tuition assistance benefit for eligible graduate students (graduate fee authorizations or GFA) are posted during the ninth week of the semester. For Autumn 2022, expenses will post on Tuesday, 10/18.

New Initiative to Create Institutional Definitions for Data Consistency and Clarity
We use words like “student” and “employee” every day, but did you know that we don’t have standard definitions for these terms across the university and medical center? The Data Governance team is launching an initiative to standardize institutional definitions and is seeking assistance from colleagues across the university and medical center.

Asset Coordinator Field Must be Populated for all Business Assets
A validation has been put in place during the asset registration process that requires users to populate an Asset Coordinator. A warning will be shown to the user if this field is left blank. As a reminder, per Ohio State policy, Asset Management requires this field to be populated for all business assets.
Training Inventory for Finance and Supply Chain
The Office of the Controller has compiled an inventory of available trainings for end users broken down by finance and supply chain areas. The inventory provides the course name with link, description of the course, security roles the trainings are recommended for and if the training is required or recommended. The inventory will be updated as courses are added or edits are made.
"Find Internal Service Delivery Lines by Cost Center" Report Enhancement
The "Find Internal Service Delivery Lines by Cost Center" report has been enhanced to help tie the operational activity to the General Ledger. A new date range prompt has been added to this report to allow for searching ISD activity based on Accounting Date. Revenue worktags and Accounting Date (as a column) have also been added to the output of this report.
Workday Unavailable Due to Planned Quarterly Maintenance Oct. 22
Workday will be unavailable due to planned quarterly maintenance on Saturday, October 22, from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.
External dormakaba time clocks will be available, but employees using Workday to clock in and out should enter their hours once Workday is available again.

MS Office 365 Virtual Instructor-led Training Available
OTDI has partnered with Microsoft to offer virtual instructor-led training in October and November for many MS Office 365-centered topics, including Teams and OneDrive. Access the Mastering Microsoft 365 page in the Administrative Resource Center (ARC) and register. Please note that while MS Teams Calling sessions are listed, they are intended for pilot participants. MS Teams Calling will be available to the Ohio State community in 2023.
