  • Visual Changes on Workday Project Summary

    Effective immediately, the following unused fields will be hidden on a project’s summary Workday page: Billable, Customer, Include Project ID in Names, Optional Balancing Worktags, Optional Project Hierarchies, and Project Currency.

    These fields will still appear on existing reports.

  • Updated Look Coming Soon to the Student Information System’s Applicant Center, To Do List, and Holds Functionality

  • Planned Maintenance and Downtime for Student Apps. Jan. 28

    Update: This maintenance was postponed from its original date and rescheduled for January 28.

    From 12 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sunday, January 28, PeopleSoft Buckeye Link (Campus Solutions/Student Information System) services will be unavailable including:

    • Student Center functions accessed through Buckeye Link
    • Faculty Center
    • Grad Forms
    • Grad Recommendation
    • Curriculum

     

    The Ohio State App (mobile) will not be affected by the downtime.

  • Planned Maintenance and Downtime for Student Apps. Nov. 18-19

    From 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 18 to 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 19, the following PeopleSoft Buckeye Link (Campus Solutions/Student Information System) services will be unavailable including:

    • Student Center functions accessed through Buckeye Link
    • Faculty Center
    • Grad Forms
    • Grad Recommendation
    • Curriculum

     

    For this maintenance the Operational Data Store (ODS) of student data databases will also be unavailable from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov 18.

    The Ohio State App (mobile) will not be affected by the downtime.

  • Planned Maintenance and Downtime for Student Apps Oct. 13 - 15

    From 5 p.m. on Friday, October 13, until 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 15, multiple PeopleSoft Buckeye Link services (Campus Solutions/Student Information System) will be unavailable due to planned maintenance. This change has a longer maintenance window that differs from previous SIS planned maintenance.  

    For most students and faculty users, the change should not be noticeable, however, there are also some additional business area impacts. 

  • Workday Training Tenant Refresh Schedule Update

    To support training related to upcoming changes in the internal order billing process, the Workday training tenant refresh schedule has been updated. Rather than the usual weekly refresh to update the tenant with a new copy of the live Workday environment, training tenant refreshes have or will occur on:

  • October 2023 PeopleSoft Student System URL Changes

    In mid-October 2023, OTDI will be moving the foundation of the PeopleSoft-based Student System known as PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS), to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Any direct links into SIS will be changing. OTDI Student System support staff have already begun sharing the guidance below for URL changes to ensure any affected links are updated along with the move to AWS.

    From 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 8 until 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 9, the following PeopleSoft Buckeye Link services (Campus Solutions/Student Information System) will be unavailable due to planned maintenance, including:

  • New Format for Workday Planned Maintenance Reminders

    Previously, Workday planned maintenance reminders have been shared as normal NewsLink blog posts which were distributed with Workday core users just prior to any scheduled maintenance and downtime date.

  • Workday Unavailable Due to Planned Quarterly Maintenance - Sat. 5/20 from 2 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    Workday will be unavailable due to planned quarterly maintenance on Saturday, May 20, from 2 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

    Kronos and external dormakaba time clocks will be available, but employees using Workday to clock in and out should enter their hours once Workday is online. 

    Downtime reminders for Health System supply chain users:

    Supply Ordering: Order Friday, May 19 before 10 p.m. or after 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 20.
