Workday Release 2026R1 Coming March 14

The first of Workday's two major releases in 2026 of enhancements and new functionality (Workday 2026R1) is scheduled to move to production on Saturday, March 14, from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. Workday will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

There are relatively few changes for this release, and the focus is on user interface changes to the Home and Search pages including repositioning the global search bar on the Home page and updating how pinned categories are displayed on the Search page.

More details about these and other changes for Adaptive users and asset tracking specialists are available in the Workday 2026R1 job aid (login required) in the Administrative Resource Center.

Kronos and external dormakaba time clocks will be available, but employees using Workday to clock in and out should enter their hours once Workday is available again. Important downtime information for Health System Supply Chain users is available on the secure Workday maintenance page (login required).
