Please be aware that due to system limitations, FY25 payroll commitments will not zero out until an integration with a journal source of "Payroll Encumbrance Accrual Reversal" runs (tentatively scheduled for July 7, 2025). Cristina Cardenas|June 13, 2025To prepare for the end of the fiscal year, it is critical to review costing allocations to ensure they are accurate and up to date. The Payroll Funding reports can be used to review and identify when costing allocation updates need to be made. Due to the new date validations added for payroll accounting adjustments (PAAs) in May 2025, you will not be able to correct payroll funding with a PAA after the fact in the new fiscal year (after July 22, 2025) if the PAA does not involve an OSP grant. Juliette Lonsert|May 16, 2025On Tuesday, July 22, the new date validation for payroll accounting adjustments (PAA) will be updated for the new fiscal year. These restrictions are in place due to how Workday recalculates fringe when PAAs cross fiscal years. Workday recalculates fringe on the entire paycheck, not only the earnings on the PAA. Once this change is made, if there is a retro pay period associated with the earnings needing to be moved, PAA Specialists will now need to select the correct retro period.
Update to Reporting for Costing on Time Tracking Funding Overrides
Richard Hunter|November 13, 2024The Time Tracking Funding Overrides report has been updated so users can now search for worktag overrides for positions they own. This can be run each pay period to ensure biweekly workers have not erroneously entered worktag overrides on their timesheets. Payroll accounting adjustments should be processed to correct erroneous overrides.
Required Worktags Entry for Costing Allocations and Period Activity Pay (PAP)
Richard Hunter|November 13, 2024Beginning Wednesday, November 20, users will be required to enter the five required worktags (company, cost center, fund, balancing unit, function) for costing allocations and period activity pay. These worktags must be entered on each row of costing. If you have any questions regarding worktag entry, please reach out to your Cost Center Manager.
Enhancements to "Flexible Payroll Expense Data" Tableau Report
