Request a Loan

Only students who have been awarded financial aid can submit a loan request. Our pool of devices is limited and eligibility for loans is reserved for students who have limited technology access and identified financial needs.  If you are potentially eligible for a device loan, you will see the STLP request form in ScholarshipUniverse. If you do not see the form, you are not eligible for a device loan. Once you submit the form through ScholarshipUniverse, you will be notified if you are ineligible or if we are currently out of inventory within 5 business days.  In order to place a loan request, please follow the link below.

If you do not see an apply button at the bottom of the STLP request form after visiting this link, you are not eligible for a device loan based on your financial need information.

 

Next Steps to Request a Loaner Device

  1. Fill out the loan request form by visiting the Request a Loan link above. If devices are out of stock, you will be notified via email and automatically added to a waitlist. Please DO NOT submit multiple requests as this will impact your waitlist standing.
  2. Once a device is available for pickup, you will receive an email with pickup instructions. Please note that we are unable to provide a specific timeline for availability as our inventory levels fluctuate.
    1. Read and sign the Technology Agreement DocuSign. 
    2. This document will be emailed to you within 30 minutes of receiving the notification that a device is available for pickup. Technology agreements can also be read and signed on DocuSign.net. You will need to log in using your username.#@osu.edu and your university password. You will not be able to sign in with your BuckeyeMail email address. 
  3. The loan program inventory includes both iPad Air and Surface Go devices. Choosing a specific device is dependent on availability.
