Notability
Notability is a note-taking app available for iPad, Mac and iPhone. Ohio State provides loaner devices a full-featured plan called Notability for Organizations. To access this university-provided plan, you must download the Notability app from an app preinstalled on your loaner device called "Self-Service."
FAQ
How do I know if I downloaded the right version?
To verify you have installed the correct version, open the Notability app, tap the settings icon at the bottom of the left side panel and view "Subscriptions." The current plan should show as "Notability for Organizations." If you don't see this plan, delete the app and redownload it through the Self Service app.
Why can’t I access all the features in Notability?
If you have downloaded Notability from the Self Service app, you have the "Notability for Organizations" plan and can access all the same features available in Notability Plus. The only difference is that Notability Plus users have access to premium Planners, Templates and Stickers.
How do I backup my notes?
Notes can be backed up to most cloud services. OneDrive is recommended, but you can also use Google Drive or Dropbox. Notability's support website has instructions for backing up your notes.
Please be aware that you will not be able to use iCloud Backup for your notes, but notes can still be synced to iCloud. For more details, please visit Notability's iCloud support page.
