Starting this weekend, instructors will be able to assign modules, pages, and ungraded discussions to specific sections and students.
This new functionality brings with it a redesign to the feature that instructors use to set due dates and assign differential access to activities and content throughout their courses.

The upload limit on Manage Participants has been removed; users will now be able to enroll more than 10 participants at a time.

The newest version of Manage Participants includes the ability to export roster data. It will export the portion of your roster currently displayed on your screen. If your roster is longer, switch to more users per page or move to a new page and export again. Instructors can add participants, remove and restore enrollments, and edit a participant's role.

As of May 2, Manage Participants has the Edit Role feature. With this tool you can now change the role of your course participants at any time. For more information, visit the Teaching and Learning Resource Center.

Zoom Meeting Visual Refresh Update
Beginning April 14, 2024, Zoom will be updating the visual and functional user experience in the new version, 6.0. You will need to update your desktop Zoom app. On your personally-owned computer, click the profile picture or your initials and then scroll down to Check for Updates. Proceed with the instructions provided by Zoom. For a computer managed by Ohio State, follow the update instructions from your desktop support team.

Summer 2024 courses are now available for instructors to create in CarmenCanvas. More information about creating a course can be found in the Teaching and Learning Resource Center.

The Discussion tool in CarmenCanvas is being redesigned. The redesign includes an updated UI and new features. Instructors can enable this on a course-by-course basis starting on March 19. When the redesign is enabled, all existing discussions will be shown in the new UI and will have new functionality available to them. No migration will be necessary. This new functionality will be enabled in all courses in between spring and summer semesters.

You can now mark your most important Assets and Resources as Favorites to access them more easily. Items marked as Favorite will appear on the Favorite tile on the dashboard and in the Favorite store within the user’s store. There is no limit to the number of Favorites a user can have, though only the first nine will appear on their dashboard.

Manage Participants allows instructors to have control over adding, removing, and changing enrollment (participant) information in a CarmenCanvas course. Manage Participants has replaced Add Participants. It can be accessed through the CarmenCanvas landing page or the Aegis platform.
