SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a server-based reporting tool used by advanced data analysts.

SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) provides a set of on-premises tools and services that create, deploy, and manage traditional paginated reports. These reports are ideal for fixed-layout documents optimized for printing, or for downloading to Excel for further manipulation.

Please note:

  • As of September 2024, Enterprise data in SSRS is limited to Physical Space (1 report) and Student Admissions & Enrollment data. Most reporting can be found in Tableau Server.
  • For access to Enterprise Student Records and Enrollment Reports (SSRS), complete the OESAR access request form

Create New Reports in Power BI

New reports should be created in Power BI, NOT SSRS. Microsoft will no longer provide security updates to SSRS after January 11, 2033. If there are questions, contact data-visualization@osu.edu
