With implementation of Workday in January 2021, the human resources, payroll, supply chain and financial transactions that flow from PeopleSoft will end. As PeopleSoft is taken offline, Workday will become the new system of record for most business transactions at Ohio State.
This shutdown means that the relevant HR and Finance System data that flows into the DWRPT database and the EDW database from PeopleSoft will stop and the data within these systems will become static and historical. The OCIO Data and Analytics team is working to migrate data from the legacy databases into the new Reporting and Analytics Environment (RAE) for use by reports and data analysts.

This event, put together by the Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI) with partnerships across campus, features a campus-wide series of workshops, lectures, challenges, and events focused on celebrating data analytics and decision science.

The OCIO Data and Analytics group continues to refine and improve the tools and processes it provides to Ohio State for the purpose of analyzing enterprise data—the data generated from university administrative functions (finance and supply chain, student information, human resources, payroll, and grants).
This update shares the latest developments for our current toolset which includes: the Reporting and Analytics Environment (RAE), Tableau and Collibra.
The May implementation of Salesforce was recently shared through the Enterprise Project. See the full article for a brief recap. There will be tie-ins to Data@OSU as Salesforce datasets become available though the Reporting and Analytics Environment (RAE). More information about Salesforce data will be forthcoming in the next several weeks.

Ohio State signed an agreement with Collibra this past December, in partnership and coordination with Wexner Medical Center, Advancement, and other key data intensive units, which helps lay the foundation of the university's overall data governance strategy.
