HIPAA Training

Individuals who have access to protected health information (PHI) should take HIPAA training. 

How to Enroll in HIPAA Training

The HIPAA Privacy and Security training course is available via self-enrollment in BuckeyeLearn. To request the course:

  1. Go to BuckeyeLearn (if prompted, login with your name.# and password).
  2. Search for "HIPAA and Institutional Data Compliance FY23” and select Request. The course will be added to your transcript.
  3. Select the My Transcript button on the homepage and locate the "HIPAA and Institutional Data Compliance FY22" training and select Open Curriculum.

Users that are required to take both HIPAA and Institutional Data Policy (IDP) training can now comply with both requirements by completing this one course.

If you are unable to complete the training all at once you may return to your BuckeyeLearn transcript to continue work on completing the training. Please note, if you are unable to launch the course, you may need to disable the pop-up blocker.
