Beginning October 30, a new Miscellaneous Payment Request category, Awards & Grants – Non-Student, will be available in Workday.
This category should be used for payments to individuals who are not university employees when the payment represents an award or grant that is unrelated to academic performance. Examples may include these listed below.
- Awards provided through outreach or community engagement programs
- Honorary payments made through educational incentive programs
- Awards issued to teachers who participate in educational initiatives or professional development programs
The addition of this category is intended to improve the classification and processing of award and grant payments made to non-student, non-employee recipients.
