Microsoft is now sending emails when a team or group becomes “ownerless.” A team in Microsoft Teams or a Microsoft 365 group can become ownerless if the owner's account is deleted in Microsoft 365 – for example, if the group owner leaves the university. Since groups and teams need an owner to manage members and settings, Microsoft has introduced this new policy – sending an email to ownerless groups and teams – to assign a new owner.

Microsoft created Club Copilot in August 2024 to help users in the education community connect and learn more about Copilot products.

Effective today, changes have been made to the university’s Adobe Creative Cloud funding and purchasing process. Additionally, we’ve paused our implementation of Microsoft Storage limits, which were planned to go into effect this summer. Read on for more details.

Microsoft is now offering Copilot Academy, a structured learning experience designed to help users develop skills and effectively use Microsoft 365 Copilot. Ohio State users who have purchased Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses can use this as a resource to get the most out of the application. In September, Microsoft announced Copilot Wave 2, which will bring new features, product name changes, and other updates over the next few months. Changes to Copilot continue on an ongoing basis; in the 18 months since Copilot was announced, there have been more than 700 product updates and 150 new features.
