  • New Year, New Updates to eLearning Tools

    As you settle into a new semester at Ohio State, be sure to review the latest updates from the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI). Learn more about new accessibility features added to CarmenZoom; check out a few improvements in CarmenCanvas as well as official guidance for proctoring; remind your students to renew their Adobe licenses; and learn about changes for accessing important software like Minitab.

  • Register Now for New In-Person Microsoft Azure Training; Class Size Limited

    We have seen an enthusiastic response from Ohio State faculty and staff Azure users interested in participating in an in-person AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) class at the Microsoft office in Columbus. The original class on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. is nearly full. A second session has been added on Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • In-Person Microsoft Azure Training: Class Size Limited, Register Now

    Ohio State faculty and staff are invited to participate in a AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) class at the Microsoft office in Columbus on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free training is provided by the Microsoft Account Team and will include a certification test voucher to take the AZ-900 test at no cost!

    Enrollment for this event will be limited to 30 participants and you must register to attend, so register now!

  • Not Spam: It's Time to Review Microsoft 365 Access

    Last year we started the Microsoft 365 Access Reviews for External Guests initiative. It is designed to help us align with audit recommendations for reviewing Microsoft 365 Teams and group members.

    If you received this email, it is NOT spam. However, your caution and instinct to not click on suspicious links is a good one. This message is legitimate, part of a new process to review access of External Guests.

  • MS Office 365 Virtual Instructor-led Training Available

    OTDI has partnered with Microsoft to offer virtual instructor-led training in October and November for many MS Office 365-centered topics, including Teams and OneDrive. Access the Mastering Microsoft 365 page in the Administrative Resource Center (ARC) and register. 

  • BuckeyeBox Applications to be Removed from MITS Devices August 26

    On Friday, August 26, 2022 BuckeyeBox related applications will be removed from all Managed IT Services (MITS) devices.

  • Upcoming Microsoft 365 changes: Personal Bookings in Outlook, Accessibility add-in and Mendeley add-in

    New Microsoft features and add-ins will be available by the end of June. Personal Bookings, Accessibility Review and Mendeley Cite will be available to all faculty, staff and students at The Ohio State University. They are not available to guests or employees of the Wexner Medical Center. For a complete list of approved Office add-ins please see microsoft365.osu.edu.
