As part of leveraging AI-powered capabilities within Workday where it can enhance the user experience and support operational efficiency, a new enhancement is now available to help streamline the Change Job process. Workday will now display recommended values for certain fields when a Change Job transaction is initiated or during a review step. This enhancement impacts users who can initiate a Data Change or Change Job transaction through the NJR process or from a Job Requisition.
You may see recommendations for fields such as:
- Event Reason
- Cost Center
- Job Profile
- Location
These recommendations are based on previous transaction activity and commonly selected values for similar positions and organizational units. They are designed to help speed data entry and improve consistency.
Please Note
- Recommendations are optional and are not automatically selected.
- Initiators are responsible for reviewing all recommended values and determining whether they are appropriate for the transaction.
- Recommended values should always be validated before being selected and submitted.
Data Change Transactions
For Data Change transactions, initiators (such as managers and HR Consultants) will only see recommendations for the Location field. Recommendations for the other fields listed above will not appear because those fields are not editable during the Data Change process.
