eduroam

eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.

The eduroam service is the preferred secure wireless network for faculty, staff and student personal devices. This network service is provided on Ohio State campuses to provide the ability for visiting faculty and students of participating institutions to easily gain secure network access utilizing their home institution credentials. It also provides Ohio State faculty, staff and students that will be visiting a participating institution the ability to pre-configure their devices for eduroam access, making gaining secure access while away automatic. Ohio State faculty, staff and students can configure their devices for eduroam at wireless.osu.edu.

Instructional Guides

In fall 2026, Ohio State is updating the security certificate used to verify our Wi-Fi network. For MITS-managed devices, no action is required—IT will complete the update automatically. Requirements for other Ohio State provided devices may vary by department. To ensure your personal devices continue connecting without interruption, you will need to re-enroll your device now so it is properly configured.
