eduroam Chromebook Setup for COTC

When connecting to eduroam from the Newark Campus the instructions are similar but require different information.

  1. COTC users will access COTC eduroam site.
  2. The link will connect to the Join Now Site hosted by SecureW2.  Clicking the button will open a link to the JoinNow MultiOS extension in the Chrome Web Store.
  3. Once the extension is installed, go back to the initial tab.
  4. The JoinNow page will have a download button with a .onc file and opens a Network tab.
  5. On the network tab, there is a button under “Import ONC File”.  Click the button and find the “SecureW2.onc” file in your downloads.
  6. Under “Network Select” choose eduroam.
  7. Settings will have been configured from the .onc file except for “Identity” and “Password”.  Enter your log on information
    • Students of COTC will need to log in using the COTC credentials (lastname-#@cotcmail.cotc.edu) and password
  8. Choose connect to save the settings. 

My device does not have internet access!

If you need internet access, you will have to connect your device to the wireless network called WiFi@OSU. Once you connect to WiFi@OSU the onboarding process will begin.

  1. After initial connection with the wireless icon in the bottom right, open a Chrome browser.
  2. The browser should automatically open the captive portal page with options to connect to eduroam (A security tab may open; this can be safely ignored).
  3. The link will connect to the Join Now Site hosted by SecureW2. Clicking the button will open a link to the JoinNow MultiOS extension in the Chrome Web Store.
  4. Once the extension is installed, go back to the initial tab.
