Turnitin Confirmed as Ohio State’s Enterprise Anti-Plagiarism Tool
In Spring 2024, a committee of faculty and staff recommended that Ohio State continue use of Turnitin Feedback Studio, an anti-plagiarism tool integrated with CarmenCanvas.SpeedGrader: Rich Content Editor Features Available
CarmenCanvas has just recieved an update which enables Rich Content Editor (RCE) features when commenting on assignment submissions, such as in SpeedGrader. Instructors can now edit drafts.Respondus Lockdown iPad Functionality Update
On Wednesday Aug. 21, Respondus made a change to iPad functionality for LockDown Browser enabled-exams. All exams using LockDown Browser are now automatically iPad compatible by default.

CarmenBooks Update
CarmenBooks, the program that offers digital textbooks and access to publisher homework systems, is now powered by RedShelf. Students will be able to access all their current CarmenBooks titles by selecting the CarmenBooks icon from the global navigation in Canvas or from the CarmenBooks link within a course. Titles from previous semesters can be accessed with the Unizin Engage link within a course.
Manage Participants Role Change Now Active
As of May 2, Manage Participants has the Edit Role feature. With this tool you can now change the role of your course participants at any time. For more information, visit the Teaching and Learning Resource Center.

Technology Updates for Spring 2024
The Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) has been hard at work between autumn and spring semesters to update our tools and services. This round of continual improvement projects included added security measures for eLearning tools, improved synchronization of identity data, and a focus on accessibility awareness. You and your students should also be aware of upcoming changes to Wi-Fi at Ohio State and potential issues with email forwarding.
