Power BI

Power BI helps to visualize insights into your data allowing up-to-the-minute analytics for all levels of your organization.

Microsoft Power BI allows you to consolidate having multiple sources of data collection, while providing secure access to all levels of the organization, as well as keeping the data secure and compliant. Power BI comes with a suite of tools and integration with Excel and a group of pre-built connectors to connect to various data sources.

 

Use of Microsoft Power Platform Note

Any user who creates content within Microsoft Power Platform must follow the Information Security and Privacy Control Requirements (ISPCR). Before using any Microsoft 365 services, please review the Microsoft 365 Important Service Usage Information for information on sharing content, acceptable use, general questions and other important items.

Troubleshooting

  • Only select groups can share Power BI reports externally, if you need to share with external people please place a request with the Service Desk.
  • Any use of a Power BI gateway, or other data access method, must be requested and approved.
  • Please ensure to follow all university guidelines on data retention, as Power BI has no built-in data retention settings for any data you use in Power BI.
