Power BI Desktop is free to all faculty and staff. It is a data visualization software that allows users to create data sources and reports.
To publish content to Power BI Service and easily share, please email data-visualization@osu.edu to request workspace creation.
To download Power BI Desktop
- Access the Power BI space for the university. You may be prompted to login with your name.# and duo authentication.
- Click ‘Download the Desktop App’ link in the center of your screen or download the Power BI Desktop software by clicking the download button in the upper right corner (next to the question mark).
- The software will download. Once the download is complete, you may open the software, connect to a data source, and build vizzes.
