BuckeyeLearn Access for New Employees

The level of access a new employee has in BuckeyeLearn and whether a manager can assign training to them is driven by:

  1. The Hire action in Workday
  2. The new employee’s start date
When the new employee has the “Hire” Business Process completed in Workday
The referenced media source is missing and needs to be re-embedded.

The new employee can

  • log into BuckeyeLearn with their lastname.# and OSU single sign-on password
  • search for and register for a limited amount of training titles

The manager will not see the new employee under “My Team” in BuckeyeLearn and will not be able to assign training to them.

 

Critical Note:

Hired employees who have not yet started employment should not be completing training in BuckeyeLearn. Training should be completed on or after the new employee’s start date while they are at work. Newly hired physicians who require approval by the credentialing board are an exception.
