    The Email and Storage Transformation project is currently underway in response to changes in Microsoft's pricing model. One aspect of this project is to actively delete inactive user accounts in Microsoft 365 including but not limited to services like Outlook and OneDrive. Last fall we let you know this change was coming(link is external), and we are now putting it into place.
  • Microsoft to send “Ownerless Groups and Teams” Notifications

    Microsoft is now sending emails when a team or group becomes “ownerless.” A team in Microsoft Teams or a Microsoft 365 group can become ownerless if the owner's account is deleted in Microsoft 365 – for example, if the group owner leaves the university. Since groups and teams need an owner to manage members and settings, Microsoft has introduced this new policy – sending an email to ownerless groups and teams – to assign a new owner.
