In May, Learning Systems disabled the ability for users to create personal access tokens. Since then, Instructure (the vendor for Canvas) has expired all existing personal tokens and implemented some additional security controls.
Starting Thursday, August 13, instructors will again be able to generate personal access tokens in CarmenCanvas. Tokens must have an expiration date, with 90 days being the maximum date range. These parameters are set by Instructure; Learning Systems cannot adjust them. Students will still not be able to generate personal access tokens.
