New Rapid Response Form Helps Get IT Requests to the Right Experts Faster

call center attendant helping customer

When you contact the IT Service Desk for support, you want answers quickly. To help reduce delays and connect requests with the team best equipped to resolve them, the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) is introducing a new Rapid Response Form.

The new form allows you to provide key details about your issue upfront, helping support teams better understand your request and route it to the appropriate specialists from the start. As a result, many requests can be resolved more efficiently, with fewer follow-up questions and less back-and-forth.

How it works

After you submit a request, you will receive a confirmation email asking you to provide additional information using Rapid Response Form. The form collects details that help IT staff identify the nature of the issue, determine which team has the right expertise, and begin troubleshooting sooner. The more information you provide, the faster the IT Service Desk can investigate and resolve your request. Detailed information helps support staff avoid unnecessary follow-up questions and move directly toward a solution.

If you do not complete the Rapid Response Form for your request, it will move through the existing service desk process, which may require additional outreach and clarification before the appropriate team can begin work.
