Urgent Update for Macs, iPhones, and iPads

Apple users are encouraged to install an urgent security update to all Mac devices, iPhones and iPads as soon as possible to their most current supported versions (i.e. MacOS 13.3.1 or iOS 16.4.1). This urgent update is being recommended as a security precaution after Apple discovered a vulnerability in previous versions.

To update your iPhone, iPad or Mac:

  1. Plug your device into power and connect to the Internet with Wi-Fi.
  2. Go to System Preferences, then Software Update.
  3. Click Update Now.

This update will take about 30 minutes to complete.

MITS partners’ MacOS devices that are managed by OTDI will receive the update along with regular monthly patching occurring this week. MITS Mac users will be prompted to start installing this update on Wednesday, April 19 and are required to install by Friday, April 21.
