Because the university and the medical center have two separate instances knowing which account to log in with can be confusing. This guide will assist in deciding which account you should be using depending upon what work you trying to accomplish.
University employees or guests logging in to do university work
Username: lastname.#@osu.edu
Medical center instructor, staff or guest logging in to do medical center work
Username: MedCenterID@osumc.edu
University instructor, staff or guest who has been assigned a guest account with the medical center to join a medical center Team
Log in to Teams using your guest email, MedCenterID@osumc.edu
Medical center instructor, staff or guest who has been added to a university Team
Log in to Teams using your Med Center account, MedCenterID@osumc.edu and change to the other organization from the Teams interface.
If you are a student working on academic work
Username: lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu
COTC students will use lastname-#@cotcmail.cotc.edu and should be added to a Team as a guest using their lastname-#@cotcmail.cotc.edu account, not @cotc.edu
If you are a university staff member taking classes and logging in to do academic work
Username: lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu
If you are a university or Wexner Medical Center staff member AND a student logging in to collaborate on work related to academics or classes
Username: lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu
