Because the University and the Medical have two separate instances knowing which account to log in with can be confusing. This guide will assist in deciding which account you should be using depending upon what work you trying to accomplish.
If you are a university staff member, instructor or guest working on university business
Username: lastname.#@osu.edu
If you are a university staff member taking classes and logging in to do academic work
Username: lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu
If you are a student working on academic work
Username: lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu
If you are a student employee, working on university business
Username: lastname.#s@osu.edu
If you are a Wexner Medical Center staff member working on med center business
Username: MedCenterID@osumc.edu
If you are a university or Wexner Medical Center staff member AND a student logging in to collaborate on work related to academics or classes
Username: lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu
If you are a staff member, instructor or guest working with both university and medical center accounts
- Sign in and out of the respective environments as needed.
- Use MedCenterID@osumc.edu for medical center business.
- Use lastname.#@osu.edu for university business.
