Cancel Direct Deposit Enrollment - Student Refunds

About Direct Deposit Cancellation

If a financial credit balance occurs on your student account, you may receive a refund. Most often, refunds are issued when you receive more financial aid than is needed to pay your bill. These extra funds are usually used to cover personal expenses, books, and supplies.

If you are currently enrolled in direct deposit for student refunds, you may cancel your enrollment at any time. If you cancel enrollment, you will no longer receive electronic refunds; future refunds, if issued, will be sent as paper checks, and will take longer to receive. You may choose to re-enroll in direct deposit at any time.

This job aid describes how to cancel your enrollment in direct deposit.

Important: you, the student, are the sole owner of your My Buckeye Link account. Because of this, only you can cancel your direct deposit enrollment; parents, family members, or others who support you financially cannot complete this action on your behalf.
