The Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) is expanding opportunities for career-focused learning by providing access to two distinct Google training programs for Ohio State instructors and staff.

Through this initiative, we are offering limited, first-come, first-served licenses to help members of the university community build in-demand skills. Whether you are looking for foundational career certificates or advanced, hands-on cloud training, these flexible, self-paced programs are designed to help you apply practical knowledge in academic, professional, and personal settings.

Option 1: Google Career Content on Coursera (5,000 Licenses Available)

Designed for foundational knowledge and professional skill-building, this program provides structured learning paths in high-demand fields.

  • Topics Include: Data analytics, project management, cybersecurity, digital marketing and e-commerce, IT support, UX design, and artificial intelligence.
  • Format: Quizzes, readings, and integrated third-party software (Tableau, SQL, etc.).
  • Credentials: Earn shareable professional certificates co-branded and issued via Coursera.

Option 2: Google Skills (500 Licenses Available) NEW!

Hosted directly on Google’s learning ecosystem (skills.google.com), this path is tailored for users looking to dive deep into Google-specific tools and advanced technical environments.

  • Topics Include: Google Cloud, infrastructure, APIs, and advanced technical/AI paths.
  • Format: Direct live sandbox environments and cloud console labs.
  • Credentials: Earn skill badges, complete digital learning paths, and prepare for official Google Cloud certifications.
