Presenters
Amy Cogswell is a Senior Data Governance Analyst at Ohio State who loves making data feel a little less intimidating and a lot more useful. She manages the university’s data catalog, helps campus partners agree on shared definitions, and is known as Ohio State’s “Data Governance Evangelist” thanks to her clear, approachable way of breaking down complex data topics. With a background in language, linguistics, and design thinking, Amy brings a creative, human-first perspective to data work and enjoys helping people feel more confident in their data decisions.
Mandy Gagliardi is a Senior Design Analyst with the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation. She started her career in IT at 20 years old as a corporate IT trainer but has been with the university for 16 years, starting as a help desk agent at the IT Service Desk. Currently she writes much of the documentation for Microsoft 365 and other services and tools managed and supported by the OTDI, including Generative AI. Her passion project over the last six years has been the creation and release of the Administrative Resource Center, also known as the ARC. Currently she is part of the AI Initiative helping areas learn how to incorporate new approved AI tools in workflows.
Reg Jackson is a Security Engineer for Ohio State’s Digital Security and Trust team. He focuses on human risk management through university-wide education, coaching colleagues to embrace their information security responsibilities. Reg is helping the university’s AI governance strategy by developing education and fluency initiatives regarding the secure use of approved AI tools and methods.
