In an effort to manage storage costs and more easily identify media content that must be made accessible per federal Title II regulations, OTDI will soon be enforcing an updated retention policy in Mediasite. Once implemented, content that has not been viewed in five years will be archived for one year before being permanently deleted.
As we work towards implementing this updated Mediasite retention policy, we are completing work to make the initial archiving process more efficient. On June 9th, OTDI will be deleting Mediasite content that is owned by users who are no longer affiliated with the university and has not been viewed in more than five years.
