The OhioCISO ORBIE Awards have named Rich Nagle Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Year. These awards offer premier recognition of executive leadership, and Rich was selected from an elite field of nominees. This honor reflects his years of work protecting more than 100,000 students, faculty, researchers, clinicians, patients and staff across Ohio State's entire statewide enterprise.
The OhioCISO ORBIE Awards select finalists based on leadership and management effectiveness, the business value created by enterprise security initiatives, and engagement in industry and community endeavors. Under Rich's leadership, the OTDI team has reached several key milestones. This includes the creation of a disaster recovery program across Ohio State’s whole enterprise. He also helped launch an entirely new Information Security and Privacy Assessment that all 20 Ohio State colleges and administrative functions use to enhance their security posture against their framework of controls.
