Matching Grant Funding Available for Informal Learning and Outdoor Spaces

Have a great idea for how your organization can build new and improved informal learning spaces? Now you have an opportunity to apply for Framework Space grants for matching funds of up to $50,000!

Departments and organizations may apply for Framework Space Grants if they have plans to create new or transform existing study and support space. Planning and Real Estate (PARE) will work with winning applicants to ensure the project and its design meet university guidelines.

The Integrated Physical Planning Liaison Group (IPPLG) created Framework Space Grants to encourage the development of informal learning and outdoor spaces on campus. This funding aligns with Ohio State’s strategic plan, and the university’s master plan (Framework 2.0), which identified a need for additional non-discipline specific spaces in areas frequented by students for self-directed learning activities, relaxation and social interaction.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until funding is exhausted.
