Web browsers that are supported for Outlook for the Web App when it runs on Exchange Server 2010
Although this article may apply to several implementations of Microsoft Outlook for the Web App together with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, it is especially applicable in a dedicated deployment of the Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite.
You can use Outlook for the Web App (formerly known as Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access) and the web management interface together with most web browsers. This includes Windows Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and most other web browsers on computers that run UNIX, Apple Macintosh, or Windows operating systems.

Outlook for the Web App and the web management interface (premium version)
To use the complete set of features that are available in Outlook for the Web App and the web management interface (also known as the premium version), you can use the following browsers on a computer that runs Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows 7:
- Internet Explorer 7 and later versions.
- Firefox 3.0.1 and later versions.
- Chrome 3.0.195.27 and later versions.
On a computer that is running Max OS X, you can use the following browsers:
- Safari 3.1 and later versions.
- Firefox 3.0.1 and later versions.
On a computer that is running Linux, you can use the following browser:

If you use a web browser that does not support the full feature set, Outlook for the Web App opens in the light version.

The light version provides fewer features and is faster for some operations. You may want to use the light version if you have a slow connection or if you are using a computer that has strict browser security settings. The light version can be used with almost any browser and has the same features across all browsers.

- If you must use S/MIME for digital signatures or for message encryption, you must use Internet Explorer on a computer that is running a 32-bit operating system.

- Enable session cookies. Session cookies are deleted at the end of the browser session.
- Enable JavaScript.
- Pop-up blocker settings in your web browser or in an add-in pop-up blocker may prevent Outlook for the Web App from working as expected.
