Survey data may be interesting to analyze, but the way it is structured requires reshaping the data to make it easy to work with in Tableau.
Qualtrics and Tableau
Qualtrics is available to all Ohio State faculty, staff, and students with a valid name.# and password.
In 2024, Tableau retired the Qualtrics web data connector and the official Qualtrics extension. Likewise, Qualtrics retired the “Export to Tableau” option.
Potential solutions for using Qualtrics as a data source are:
- Export the file to csv.
- Create an automated workflow in Qualtrics, if you have access to the central network (k) drive. A new file is saved with each workflow export, which could make it difficult to use as a data source.
- The unit builds a custom connector with the Qualtrics API and Tableau. The Data Visualization team does not have the access to the Qualtrics API.
