Collections in the Ohio State Data Catalog

What Are Collections? 

Collections are virtual folders of data assets in the data catalog. They allow quick access to resources based on domain, unit, or other criteria. 

Accessing Collections in the Data Catalog 

  1. Log in to the Ohio State Data Catalog.
  2. Click the Collections tab near the top of the screen.
  3. Scroll down to find the collection you’re looking for. You can also search or filter the collections in the search bar in the middle of the screen.

Domain Collections 

The catalog leverages collections to represent Ohio State’s data domain structure. If you’d like to add to a domain collection, contact the Data Governance team or the appropriate data steward.

Adding Content to Collections 

Adding content is limited to users with specific permissions. If you’d like to add to collections, contact DataGovernance@osu.edu.
