The Media Accessibility Decision Tool was created to provide users an interactive, visual, and tactile, method to review the accessibility requirements for time-based media. Time-based media refers to audio, video, and other multimedia content that plays over time. To make this content accessible to all, equivalent alternatives such as captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions must be provided so that users with disabilities can access the information.
What media alternatives should you include when adding time-based media to your website or app?
- In the Input section below, specify which accessibility standards you intend to meet, the type of media, and whether it is pre-recorded or live.
- After you make your selection, the required media alternatives will appear immediately in the Output section.
Input: Describe the media.
Output: Provide these media alternatives.
