Training Information: Digital Accessibility Policy

Purpose of Course 

Digital Accessibility training is required yearly to comply with the Digital Accessibility policy and a voluntary agreement with the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights to ensure our digital information and services are accessible.  

Assignments 

 

Critical Note:

Do not create learning assignments or include this course in a curriculum without contacting the OU admin at IT-Training@osu.edu.

This course is frequently assigned by OU admins across the university.  

Accessibility coordinators for each area decide who must take the training. It is NOT centrally assigned as each area has different training needs.

This course is also equivalent to an accessible version of the course that can be found by searching in BuckeyeLearn.

Common Questions/Issues 

Why was I assigned this/why do I have to take it? 

See above. Have learner contact their supervisor, their accessibility coordinator or Digital Accessibility Services at das@osu.edu with questions. 

How can I test out? 

All learners may test out of the course. They must successfully pass the assessment to test out. If they cannot pass the assessment, they may try again, or review the course content and then try again. 

The course won’t mark complete on transcript. 

Learners must complete the assessment to complete the course. Advise learners to re-take the assessment if they cannot get the course to complete. Also advise them to close the window if they pause so progress is reported to BuckeyeLearn. If this does not solve the problem, have them contact their local help desk or IT-Training@osu.edu
